Paramedics treat man after stabbing
Advanced life support paramedics based at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and intensive care paramedics were called to Hodgkinson Street just after 5.30. The first paramedics arrived within three minutes.
Intensive care paramedic Team Manager Brendan Webster says they found a seriously injured man lying on the road.
'The 25 year-old man had a number of stab wounds to the upper body,' he said.
'He was quite cold and confused, and it appears he had been there for some hours
'A drip was put in his arm, and he was given fluids to help stabilise his condition, and raise his body temperature.
We also put dressings on his wounds.
The man was monitored, as he was taken by ambulance to Royal Melbourne Hospital in critical condition.
