Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS)

Non Emergency Services also supply on call assistants for the Newborn Emergency Transport Service, based at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Carlton, Victoria. Purpose built NETS vehicles are located at the Royal Women’s Hospital to undertake these transports. NETS are responsible for the 24 hour retrieval of seriously ill newborn infants across Victoria, NETS will sometimes travel to Tasmania, South Australia and Southern New South Wales. Air Ambulance usually transports long distance NETS patients.
