Caring and compassionate. Professional and prompt. The values of the Metropolitan Ambulance Service have not changed since we started in 1899.

The demand for our services and how we deliver that life saving care has changed drastically however and we have many different areas of our organisation to cater for those needs.

Our day-to-day operations now attend over 700 emergencies every day, bringing life saving medical skills gained through a transition from ambulance driver to paramedic.

With a fleet of helicopters and planes, our air ambulances ensure that distance does not limit care when someone is critically ill.

The non-emergency services are an essential community need, providing valuable support for the transport of the ill, injured and immobile

We also recognise that what happens in the minutes immediately after an accident occurs is vital to providing the best care to any one hurt or ill. It is because of this that we are so committed to educating you on how to help in an emergency.
