First aid

Time is critical and knowing what to do in the first few minutes can save a life or prevent serious injury. This course provides the knowledge, confidence and life-support skills needed in the first few minutes of a life-threatening situation which enable breathing and circulation to be maintained until medical help arrives.

• Recognise when a person is having a cardiac arrest
• Correctly call for Ambulance assistance
• Individual CPR training with the aid of resuscitation manikins
• Provide vital assistance and support to the patient while waiting for the Ambulance to arrive
• Infant and child CPR
