Community CPR Program

Any CPR is better than none!

  • There are over 3,500 cardiac arrests in Victoria attended by the Ambulance Services every year.
  • 76% (3 out of 4) occur in the family home.

You can do it with the 4 Steps for Life.

Ambulance Victoria has created an innovative self-learning program for fun group CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) education. In just 20 minutes, you and your friends can master the 4 simple steps that can make a difference between life and death – and multiply our chances of saving someone you love. Early access to emergency care and early application of CPR.

The 4 Steps for Life program simplifies the 4 steps needed to help a person in cardiac arrest. It’s built around an engaging video/DVD which replicates a real triple zero (000) call for an ambulance and then demonstrates the steps you take to help save a life. You and your friends just watch it and practice along with the demonstration. It’s that easy! Kits are available free to community groups and clubs with any members in the 50-70 year age group.

Funded by the Victorian Government program kits are free to community groups and clubs with any members in the 50-70 year age group. Personal Packs are also available if you would like to learn at home with your family. The program is available in 10 Languages Other than English.
