Upper Primary School

Our new Ambulance in Schools Program targeted to Grade Five and Six students, ‘Emergency Deal with It’, aims to help children, their teachers and parents to identify hazardous behaviours and environments, what to do in a medical emergency, and delivering basic first aid procedures including mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. It is hoped that through increased education of our community in these areas, the Metropolitan Ambulance Service will be able to deliver improved outcomes for everyone.

The program comprises a teacher’s resource kit, a school visit by a qualified paramedic and an interactive display ambulance.
