Emergency management vehicles

Emergency management vehicles have been designed to respond to a range of potential situations.

The Command and Communications Vehicle enables MAS incident controllers to readily communicate with paramedics and other emergency services right from the scene of a disaster or major event.

Equipped with satellite, microwave and radio communications, computer networking, fax and close circuit television, the vehicle has become a key part of our response to events such as the Spring Racing Carnival, New Year’s Eve celebrations and the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

MAS boasts two Emergency Support Vehicles that hold enough equipment for paramedics to treat up to 200 patients (with varying levels of injury) at a time.

A Protective Equipment Vehicle carries personal protective equipment, support equipment and an inflatable change room shelter for paramedics at chemical, biological, radiological or hazardous material incidents.
