Paramedics and registered nurses who staff the Referral Service take up to 70 calls a day for low acuity complaints.

These include:

Headaches
Abdominal pain
Allergies
Eye problems or injuries
Non-violent psychiatric cases
Single fainting episodes
Traffic accident, no injuries
Traumatic injuries, not dangerous or non recent injuries
Back pain
Burns
Heat/cold exposure
Overdose/poisoning
Pregnancy (no contractions, waters broken)
