Qualified paramedics

Am I eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for a Qualified Paramedic position, applicants must be a qualified ambulance paramedic or a MICA paramedic from within an Australian and/or an overseas Ambulance Service.

Detailed information regarding the selection process is available in the qualified selection process information document. Applicants require an Equivalency of Qualification (EOQ) assessment (form 1 and 2). This assessment is conducted at the time of application and will help determine the entry level of the applicant to MAS.

The Metropolitan Ambulance Service employs Australian Citizens, NZ Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents or holders of a work visa with unrestricted Australian work rights.

The Metropolitan Ambulance Service is currently not in a position to sponsor or provide assistance to applicants in relation to citizenship or visas.
